Three New York banks apply to repay gov't aid

NEW YORK - Three giant U.S. financial companies apply to refund government funds they took previously. Goldman Sachs Group, JPMorgan Chase and Morgan Stanley want to return the money to escape restrictions on executive compensation and hiring that were imposed by Washington in February.
