INSIDE SPORT PRESENTER GABBY LOGAN
Hello everyone, Gabby here.

This week on Inside Sport, we're devoting the whole programme to the Olympics. I went up to Edinburgh to meet three-time gold medallist, Team GB cyclist Chris Hoy.

We went to the Meadowbank velodrome where he first tasted success and I got to stand on the old wooden podium with him. We also walked around the city and visited the historic Edinburgh Castle where Chris got recognised by a large group of Japanese tourists - he and cycling are indeed Big in Japan.

He talked about the Olympics past and present and his hopes that London 2012 will be enjoyed just as much in Wick as in London itself.

Also on the programme, Matthew Pinsent has been delving into the complexities of the UK Sport budget. It's that time when UK Sport decides how much money each individual Olympic sport will get in the run up to 2012.

But due to the credit crunch, money that was supposed to be raised privately to augment government funding has dried up - so will some sports not get as much money as they want?

We will also be looking at the seven sports - karate, roller sports, rugby sevens, baseball, golf, squash and softball - bidding to become Olympic sports in 2016.

We've got four of the sports presenting pitches on Monday night's show.

Which of the seven would you like to see succeed? E-mail us your thoughts - insidesport@bbc.co.uk.

See you at 2330 BST on BBC One!
