WAYNE GRADY ON THE SCOTTISH OPEN We are all enjoying a great start to the Scottish Open here at Loch Lomond, which for me is the best inland course in Great Britain and may even be one of the best in the world. You can't help but enjoy being at this magnificent setting, especially when scoring has been this good. Australia's Adam Scott has been circling near the top of the leaderboard and it's great to see his form returning. He has slipped to 43rd in the world rankings and if you look at his statistics you can see how badly his game has dipped. Every stat is down: driving accuracy, greens in regulation, putting. It is no surprise he hasn't been doing well. Hopefully this will prove to be the turnaround and it will start off a good second half of the season. His new girlfriend, tennis star Ana Ivanovic, has been by his side this week, so no wonder he has a smile on his face. He is going to have a battle on his hands dealing with South Africa's Retief Goosen though. We all know what the Goose can do - he holds the course record here and his putter seems to be working again. Watch out for Nick Watney this weekend. A lot of good things are being said about him in America and he is a very exciting young player. After Sunday's final round we head to Turnberry for the 138th Open Championship. I played there in 1994 and it's my favourite course on the Open rota. It is a good, solid, honest course and the setting is wonderful. Outside of Tiger Woods, the field is wide open so it should be a great tournament. Enjoy your weekend. Wayne Grady, the 1990 USPGA champion, is commentating on the Scottish Open for the BBC.
